Biographical history
The Yellowhead Route Association of British Columbia was established in 1957 and formally incorporated in 1958. The association worked in conjunction with the Trans-Canada Highway System Association. The objects of the society were to encourage and promote the use of Highway 5 and Highway 16, also known as the Yellowhead Route; to urge the completion of Highway 5 to the junction of Highway 16; and, to solicit and encourage arterial highway standards for the Yellowhead Route.
