Biographical history
William Taylor was a resident of South Vancouver who joined the 11th Regiment Irish Fusiliers for home service in 1915 but later went overseas with the 121st Battalion in 1916. He was wounded in 1917, and spent the remainder of the war in hospital.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of two diaries kept while Taylor was in the Australian military hospital. The majority of the entries are for the year 1917, but there are entries as late as January of 1952. Also included is a chronological table of his war service.
