Biographical history
Victor James Simmons was born in Victoria, B.C., in 1913 and resided there as well as in Port Alberni. He was in the retail clothing business in Victoria. Victor Simmons lived in Esquimalt from 1977 until his death in 1995.

The fonds consists of the rules and regulations of the Esquimalt Branch of the Scottish Daughters' League (typescript); photographs of the Admiral's House, HMC Dockyard and the West Bay Walkway; and a print of the opening of Naden Drydock with the docking of HMS Cormorant in 1887.
