The mission of the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre is to promote human rights, social justice and genocide awareness and to teach about the causes and consequences of discrimination, racism and antisemitism through education and remembrance of the Holocaust.
Records management and collecting policies
The VHEC Archives collects, preserves and makes available documentary evidence related to the Holocaust experiences of survivors and other eyewitnesses. The collection consists of institutional records; reminiscences, records and ephemera of British Columbia survivors of concentration camps, etc., and other eyewitnesses of the Holocaust; as well as minutes, correspondence and ephemera of the Yom Hashoah Remembrance Committee and its predecessor, the Warsaw Ghetto Committee.
