Trail City Archives
The Trail City Archives was established in 1978 as the repository for city government records. It acquired the archival holdings of the Trail Historical Society (formerly the West Kootenay Branch of the B.C. Historical Association) and continues to acquire private records of significance to Trail and area.
The Archives collects, preserves and otherwise makes available to the public historical records and printed material relating to the history of Trail and area. Holdings include business records, family papers, local government records, and records of service clubs, church or other social or cultural organizations. Archives consist of photographs, manuscript material, maps and plans, film and tape recordings, published material, and newspapers. The Archives is also the official repository of all significant inactive records of the City of Trail.
