    Administrative history

    The Sea Island Community Association was formed in 1944. It’s first president was Mr. Milton Windrim. The Association was initially headed by an elected community council of 5 members. The Association was responsible for operating the Sea Island Community Hall for the benefit of all Sea Island residents; and promoting interest in educational, cultural, social, and recreational activities. In addition, it served to promote the interests of the residents of Sea Island in municipal and community affairs. The Sea Island Community Association has operated as the Sea Island Community and Ratepayers Association, and the Sea Island Ratepayer's Association.

    The records were donated by the society in 2008 and 2012.

    The fonds consists of the newsletters, AGM Agenda packages, minutes, correspondence, bylaws and constitution of the Sea Island Community Association.
