The society promotes the preservation of the historical record of the Saanich Peninsula by acquiring, preserving and making accessible artifacts, archival records and historical reference material. The collection of photographs depicts individuals and families on the Saanich Peninsula, as well as community associations and events. Collection includes a significant number of photographs of the following families: Brethour, Butler, Marcotte, Oldfield, Turgoose, John, and Lidgate.
