Biographical history
Roy Mead began work with the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1928 in Revelstoke in the mechanics division of the CPR shops. From 1938 until his retirement in 1975, Mead worked as an operator.

The fonds consists of a photograph album with photographs of rock slides, floods, Revelstoke, train wrecks, scenery, Royal Train crew, rotary plows, CPR coworkers, Stoney Creek Bridge, etc.; scrapbook containing correspondence, membership cards, merit slips, poems and stories, pictures of CPR engines, newsclippings, etc.; and other personal correspondence and records.
