Biographical history

Paula Overhill was born in Switzerland and emigrated to Canada as a young woman in 1923. She trained as a hairdresser/beautician in Vancouver. She opened a beauty parlor in Revelstoke in 1933, and in 1938 relocated the business to a building built for her at the corner of First Street and Campbell Avenue. She was a member of the Revelstoke Art Group from the 1960s onwards. She died in 1998.
