Administrative history

The New Westminster School Board made crucial decisions regarding School District 40, which included such schools as Central Girls’ and Boys’ Schools, Sapperton School, Queensborough School, Lord Kelvin School, Sixth Avenue School, Herbert Spencer School, Richard McBride School, Lord Lister School, Twelfth Street School, John Robson School, and Duke of Connaught High School. Decisions discussed within the minutes of the School Board include selection of teachers, decisions regarding salaries, selection of insurance, and matters pertaining to the construction, destruction, and maintenance of school facilities.

Custodial history

Books were donated to the New Westminster Museum and Archives by the New Westminster School Board in 1984.
