History

Ithiel Blake Nason was born in Maine. He moved to Antler Creek in 1861 and began a sawmill with partner W.A. Meacham on Williams Creek, and later another on the Jack of Clubs Lake. Nason married Mary Watson in 1875. He was recognized as one of the leading business people in Richfield where he resided. He served on a number of boards and committees and as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from 1884-1891.
