        History

Mount Lehman United Church, currently part of Aldergrove-Mount Lehman Pastoral Charge in Fraser Presbytery, dates back to about 1888 when the Presbyterians established a mission station which also included Whonnock on the other side of the Fraser River. Mount Lehman was separated in 1890 and a congregation, Mount Lehman Presbyterian Church, was formally organized in 1896. The field included a number of associated points but from 1902 until 1910 it was itself associated with the Mission City charge. Since union Mount Lehman United Church has been a part of the following pastoral charges: Clayburn-Mount Lehman, 1930-1940; Mount Lehman (including Patricia and Pine Grove), 1940-1963; and Aldergrove-Mount Lehman since 1963.
