Biographical history
W.R. Morris was a professional engineer who was born in Madras, India in 1862. After wide experience as a railway engineer in England, Ireland, Mexico, and Alaska, he settled in 1906 on the west side of Kalamalka Lake where he planted fruit trees on the hillside. From 1911-1913 he was head of the B.C. Hydrographic Survey, and reeve of Coldstream from 1926 to 1930. He was an active member of the Anglican Church and a talented amateur photographer. He died in Vernon in 1955, survived by his wife Isobel and his daughter Eileen.

Fonds consists of the personal data records and documents of Mr.W.R. Morris and his wife Barbara Isabel Morris from 1862-1956. Includes birth certificates (1862,1876), correspondence (1908, 1919), and a last will and testament (1956).
