Biographical history

Mara McBirney was born in London, England, and she came to Canada in 1946 to do a lecture assignment for the Royal Academy of Dancing. She later conducting teaching tours across Canada and finally settled in Vancouver. Miss McBirney also owned the McBirney Ballet School.
