              Recto of greeting card depicts a coloured heart, flowers, and quill with textured gold inkpot. Greeting reads "From the Girl Who Loves You ; Valentine Greetings". Inner-left depicts three blue flowers, inner right is preprinted poem in black ink. Handwritten black ink inscription reads "Guess who sends you this?"               Envelope bears round black ink stamp "VANCOUVER ; FEB 11 ; 6 PM ; 1947 ; B.C." Black ink wave stamp on recto and verso. Handwritten black ink address "Dr L Broe. ; c/o Royal Columbian hosp. ; New Westminster, ; BC".

              Postage stamp is red, worth 4 cents, issued 1943, depicting King George IV in military regalia. Black ink wave stamp across recto aligns with that on envelope.

Round stamp in black ink reads "HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. ; DEC 16 ; 830 PM ; 1940". A blue 3-cent stamp featuring Thomas Jefferson is affixed to recto with black waves stamped across it. Reverse bears more stamped waves in black and is sealed with a sticker depicting a poinsettia on gold background.
