Biographical history
Kim Steel was an active member and regional representative of the British Columbia Anglican Youth Movement at St. Michael and All Angels' Parish in Prince George, B.C. The B.C.A.Y.M. movement evolved from the previous Anglican Young People's Association. Its goal was to discover and respond to the concerns and issues of youth within the church, to share information and ideas through a network of communication, and to create a chance for young people to discover what it is to be a Christian in the modern world. Kim Steel was coordinator and leader of the Youth Group of the St. Michael and All Angels' Parish. She assisted the parish with counseling and church school, organized summer projects, and she requested to be involved in the planning and the organization of a Resource Centre for the youth.
