    Biographical history

    Jean McDiarmid (ca. 1904-1990) was a teacher at the following schools: Crescent Beach School, Inverholme School, Ladner Elementary School. Her parents were Neil Angus McDiarmid (1886-1952) and Jessie Fisher (1871-1947). She married Norman Jack Crees (1901-1992), a Minister of Ladner United Church, in 1953. Her siblings include Ralph, Douglas, Margaret and Elsie McDiarmid. Jean McDiarmid was a member of the United Church, the Ladner Tennis Club, and assisted in the business of the McDiarmid Boarding House on 47A Avenue in Ladner.

    The fonds consists of photographs of Miss Jean McDiarmid's students at Inverholme School and at Delta Central School, her home nursing notes and newsclipping from the Delta Optimist of the King George V High School reunion.
