Biographical history
James Savage was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, and came to Victoria in the early 1900s. He originally worked for South Wellington Coal Mines and, by 1920, he became the general manager of the Canadian Collieries (Dunsmuir Ltd.) Company. His residence from ca. 1912 until his death in 1923, was at 837 St. Charles.
