Taylor, Ernie W.Collection consists of copy negatives and copy prints of images from Mr. McConnell's album that pertain to his service at R.C.A.F. Station Boundary Bay, and a photocopy of the entire album made in 1983. The album records Mr. McConnell's service in the R.C.A.F. from March 13, 1941 to November 3, 1945. The captioned images document the kind of training men received under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, and some of the action McConnell saw overseas. Included are class photographs, photographs of air crews and aircraft and places visited on leave, aerial views of Boundary Bay Airfield and Delta, and newsclippings that record bombing runs and the fate of friends in the airforce.
