The fonds is comprised of photographs documenting the activities and concerns of the west coast fishing industry: fishing boats, fishing and fish processing, fish plants and canneries, special events related to the promotion of fish products, Adams River sockeye runs, traditional First Nations fisheries, sports fishing, research on salmon, salmon habitat destruction, and hatchery and fishways construction and operations. The pictures were taken all along the British Columbia coast from the San Juan fishing grounds on southwestern Vancouver Island to Prince Rupert. Included are photographs taken at salmon producing lakes and rivers in the interior of British Columbia. Some of the photographs originated at food shows in Europe and the Tokyo wholesale fish market. The fonds includes 12 films with fishing related topics plus a small amount of textual material related to the photographs.

Fonds includes records relating to the Creston Power, Light and Telephone Company, the Kootenay Valley Power and Development Company, various farmers' associations, and the Creston Board of Trade/Chamber of Commerce. It also includes copies of provincial and federal documents relating to development in the Columbia-Kootenay watershed.

Maps and plans are of Lake Cowichan, Honeymoon Bay, Gordon river, Meade Creek, Riverside, and the Port Renfrew area. Collection includes forestry maps and plans for mills of Western Forest Industries at Honeymoon Bay.

This book also includes the list of shareholders and their 'shares' history, and the list of directors from Nov. 6, 1914 to 1949.

The Theed Pearse Collection consists of 209 photographs and 417 slides depicting scenery and natural history of Comox Valley as well as travel photos of California and Europe. Collection includes some Pearse family photographs.
