The fonds consists of records arising from various activities of the Committee, especially the Delta Heritage Inventory Project, a heritage structures inventory. Also included are records arising from the Committee's hosting of the B.C. Heritage Conference (Dogwood Conference) in 1983, and reference materials compiled to support Committee objectives. Records include minutes, correspondence, reports, pamphlets and brochures, notes, articles, publications, heritage inventory case files, and other materials.

Ernest Burnett fonds

The fonds consists of one series of material created by Ernest Burnett in his capacity as mayor: in particular, as a member of the Delta Centennial Committee, which held its meetings in Council chambers. Mr. Burnett's copies of the Committee minutes constitute one series of the fonds. A second series of material includes material Mr. Burnett created as treasurer of the Delta Agricultural Society. This series includes financial statements (1950-1954), and racing programs for Paterson Park (1962-1968). The final series in this fonds consists of one file containing a program for the "Freedom Ceremony" celebrating Delta's 90th Anniversary (1969), and a promotional newspaper entitled "Delta Election '71 News". which promotes the "Delta Team" of municipal candidates including incumbent Mayor Dugald Morrison, Alderman Doug Watkins, Ernie Burnett, and Harold Savage.

The fonds consists primarily of records created and received by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of School Trustees, and therefore are largely related to the functions of this office, which include: keeping records of all meetings; all matters of finance, the operation and maintenance of buildings, the maintenance of furniture and equipment; and all purchases required by the Board, as well as stocks of supplies and merchandise. Records were originally arranged in accordance with these functions, and this order has been maintained or restored. Twenty-two series have been identified, including: Administrative maintenance records; Annuals; Cartographic material; Committee records; Construction records; Correspondence; Directories; Equipment and maintenance records; Examination results records; Financial records; Fire records; Legal documents; Minutes of meetings; Miscellaneous records; Permanent school records; Personnel records; Photographs; Policy records; Referenda; Registers of Pupils; Textbook records; Visitors Books.

This fonds consists of records collected by Terry Brennan in his efforts to preserve the cultural heritage of Delta, particularly the lives of the pioneering families. Consequently, the records accumulated by Mr. Brennan represent several families, and activities, which contributed to the development of Delta. Three series have been identified according to types of creators -- Private Records and Municipal Records -- and by media -- Photographs and other graphic material. Private records include both business records (British America Cannery), and personal papers (T.E. Ladner, Terry Brennan). Municipal Records include marriage and court records.

The fonds consists of administrative records from the British Columbia Assessment Authority and the Corporation of Delta. The fonds consists of correspondence, the majority of which is concerned with the confirmation of lease contracts by private citizens, corporations, and the Corporation of Delta. Here the lease contract is summarized and includes location and size of lot, length of lease, and rental cost. Other correspondence includes requests for information on clarification of lease contracts, tax assessment, status of other properties, and land survey reports. Also, there are lists of foreshore leases, survey plans, survey maps, two examination sketches, and copies of lease contracts.
