Erskine Burnett fonds

Fonds consists of four photograph albums compiled by Erskine Burnett. Two similar albums entitled "The Shuswap Country" are 10" x 13", photographs mounted on black paper held together with two rings. The photographs and carbon-copy script from approximately 1939 describe the country between Kamloops, Sicamous, Salmon Arm and Revelstoke, south to Falkland and Westwold, and south to Enderby, Lumby, Mabel Lake, and Cherryville. Photographs and script are numbered 1 to 338; forward, table of contents, map and index included. Two similar albums entitled "B.C.'s Inland Empire" are 9" x 11", photographs mounted on white paper in a 3-ring binder, and were compiled in approximately 1950. the photographs and carbon-copy script describe the country and its history from Kamloops, Sicamous, Salmon Arm and Revelstoke, south to Westwold and Falkland, south to Mara Lake, Enderby, Mabel Lake, Armstrong, Vernon, Lumby, Sugar Lake, Oyama, Kelowna, Penticton and Osoyoos. One album has photographs and script numbered 1 to 446; forword, table of contents, map and index are included. The other album has photographs and script numbered 1 to 402 and 501 to 527, with photographs of the 1948 flood and an index. Some of the photographs in "Inland Empire" are duplicates from "The Shuswap Country" and others are copies of heritage photographs.
