Coral Topping fonds

The Arts I series consists of minutes, correspondence, reports and printed material arising from the establishment and assessment of the program.

The fonds consists of miscellaneous files from George Pickard's office (1949-1974), including records from the Canadian Committee on Oceanography (1960-1972). Fonds consists of correspondence, review articles, and published materials. both general (1974-80) and in relation to her involvement with the SF issue of "Room of One's Own" (1979-80). There are also records arising from Wood's participation in the "Pacific Northwest Review of Books" and copies of review articles (1977-78). Also included are materials (predominantly printed) from "Crossing Frontiers", a 1978 conference which brought together Canadian and American literary scholars, historians and writers to discuss comparative literature from the two "wests".

Transportation management research collection

The collection consists of materials gathered by Karl Ruppenthal as course aids for subjects taught mainly at Stanford University as part of the Transportation Management Program. The bulk of the collection consists of copies of transportation industry publications, published regulatory decisions and reports and related documents, and transcripts of addresses and speeches by other individuals, along with related correspondence and newspaper and magazine clippings. There are no papers in the collection generated by Ruppenthal himself, apart from copies of letters requesting materials from corporations and regulatory bodies, and some written notes. The collection is organized in series based on the following broad subject areas: Pipelines, Civil Aeronautics Board, Ocean Transportation, Case Leads (case studies for the Stanford course Business 380), Consulting with Consultants (conference), Australian Travel Material, Emergency Board Reports, Noise and Environmental Pollution, Transportation Co-ordination and Consolidation, Transportation Economics and Regulations, Rail Mergers, Rail Transportation Labour, Skyliner (TWA employee newsletter), Roberts Bank Superport, and Air California.

Warren family fonds

Some of the family members represented in the fonds are Reverend Dawson Warren, Falkland G.E. Warren, and Charlotte Jackson. Department of Psychology fonds

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, and minutes of meetings relating to the activities and programs of the Department of Psychology, and photographs of Department Heads and prominent faculty members. Some records date from before the formation of the Department, when the psychology program was still part of the Department of Philosophy and Psychology. Also included are audio recordings of interviews (with typed transcripts) documenting the Department's historical development.
The material is arranged in six series: Administration, Departmental Committees, Departmental Programs, External Correspondence, Historical Files, and Oral History Project. The Historical Files series consists of textual records which document the Department's formative years, and photographs; they had been placed in a box and stored separately from the Department's other records until transferred to the Archives.

Fonds consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports, printed material, and publications pertaining to Watson's professional activities and affiliations. Fonds includes materials pertaining to the Engineering Science Leads Committee of the B.C. Agricultural Sciences Co-ordinating Committee (BCSCC) on which Watson sat for the period 1967-1978. Composed of representatives of the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture Canada, and the UBC Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the Committee advised the Minister of Agriculture and allotted research funds for research projects within the province.

George Van Wilby fonds

Fonds consists of 370 black and white negatives taken between 1917 and 1924. The images are primarily of UBC students at the University's original Fairview campus. There are also shots of faculty members. As well as posed individual shots of students, there are many photographs of various student activities including the annual class picnic. Although most of the photographs are not identified they are very important for collectively documenting student life at the University in the late teen’s and early 1920s.

The fonds also includes biographical and autobiographical material, clippings, teaching records and course materials. It also contains manuscripts by students, materials related to musician and composer Michael Zilber, Department of Creative Writing administrative records as well as various UBC committee records.
The fonds is divided into five series: Manuscripts, Screenplays, Monologues series (1950-1999); Administrative and Teaching Materials series (1964-1989); Personal Materials series (1950-1997); Photographs series (1947-1989); and Audiovisual Materials series (196?-1985).

Fonds consists of several essays and one publication. It includes an annotated copy of a paper written by St. Clair-Sobell, an essay about Leo Tolstoy, a biography of Ornest D. Durnovo with related correspondence, and written remarks by a Soviet commentator on one of St. Clair-Sobell's papers. The publication is a course calendar from Karl-Franzens-Reichsuniversitat (University of Graz, in Austria) for the winter semester 1944/45.

The fonds consists primarily of undated course notes (metal mining, coal and placer mining, mining machinery, and mine surveying); printed material; blueprints; and photographs. The photographs include class portraits from the Mining Short Courses at UBC (1917-1920) and also images of the mining industry from around the province in the early 1920s.
