Brooke (family)Fonds consists of one journal, dated 1912, kept by Ernie Skyrme when he was the foreman of the L & A Ranch. Entries include quantities of livestock, hardware, feed, grain or hay purchased or sold by the ranch, plus notations of new employees. Entries in the back of the book, dated 1928, record the breeding and calving of cows and sows on Hazelmere ranch. Fonds also includes one letter written by George Heggie to Ernie Syrme, 1944, where he explains his reasons for moving to Victoria and recounts memories of their experiences on the Stepney & L & A Ranch.
Skyrme, ErnieFonds consists of a pound register (1955-1982) which describes the stray, the date, the owner, and the expenses incurred. Also, included is the Notice of the Pound District Act for Deep Creek, a map outlining the territory, correspondence, copies of the Livestock Act and the regulations, and several expense forms (1970-1982).

Wynndel LocalThe fonds consists of a volume in which are recorded the accounts (1872-1904) of William Cartwright and the personal diary of daily activities (1882-1883) of Mary Cartwright. Volume also includes some poems and recipes. The original use of the volume appears to be the 1869 accounts of a general store, possibly the Horne Store. The accounts record many purchases by Chinese and Indians. Newsclippings (1913-1941) have been pasted over parts of the early 1869 accounts.
