The letter accompanied the thesis A Critical Study of the TISH Group which is catalogued in Special Collections. Also included is an hls from Deborah Douglas.
Mitchell, Beverley Joan, 1930-The fonds consists of a photocopy of Beach's typed copy of his report "Notes on the Battle of the Lake Trasimeno Line (1944). A statement on the covering page states "these have not been submitted to Higher Cmd for approval as some of the opinions expressed are unwise in the extreme." Also included is correspondence (photocopies of 2 typed letters in, together with photocopies of 2 replies) between William J. McAndrew, Directorate of History and Professor Beach (1986-87). The correspondence concerns the authorship of the report, as Beach's name was not attached to it, and questions about the activities of the 1st Canadian Armoured Brigade, which Beach served in.
Beach, Horace DougaldThe fonds consists of a carbon typescript of the statement made by Lt. Grubb, with his handwritten correction. Also included is typescript transcription made by D.M. Grubb, who has added his analysis of points in the statement. Lieutenant Grubb was Commanding Officer of H.M.C.S. Moosejaw when he made this statement, likely taken by a British Navy writer (who reported "H.M.S. Moosejaw). The incident happened off the coast of Scotland. It concerned dropping depth charges on a German submarine (H.M.C.S. Chambly) and the subsequent capture of its crew, 29 by "Moosejaw" and 8 by "Chambly" (ca. 11 were lost). Grubb also reports on his lack of success in interrogating the officers. The Statement was taken in hospital where Lt. Grubb was recuperating from pneumonia as a result of his experience.

Bukowski, CharlesThe collection consists of photographs and postcards from Africa, South East Asia, China, Japan, and Korea. Those items from China and surrounding countries appear to be from about the time of The Boxer Rebellion. Only one photograph is dated ( a Korean one -1899). Also included is a copy of the "Gaelic Roller". The S.S. Gaelic appears to have been an American vessel on a journey from Honolulu to the Philippines. The ship's 'paper' has as its editors J. S. MacNider (Shanghai), Grant Wallace (Evening Bulletin, San Francisco), and H. J. Whigham (Morning Post, London). They have signed the front page. The copy is a holograph paste-up version.
Davidson, W. S.The collection consists of two albums of photographs with some supplementary textual material. Included in the first album are photographs of the Memorial Service held at Isandhlwana, Zululand to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Zulu War (1879), plus some photographs of battle locations, taken about the same time. Also included are clippings from various English papers and a handwritten transcription of a relevant passage from Rider Haggard's autobiography. The second album contains photographs taken at various sites (ca.1896) including Teneriffe, Canary Islands; Durban, South Africa, as well as other places in Natal and Zululand; Dar-es-Salam, German East Africa; Zanzibar; Somalia; Aden; Suez Canal & Port Said (Egypt); Naples, Pompeii and Rome, Italy; Switzerland, mostly Lucerne; Paris, France; Madeira. Also included are some tipped-in clippings concerning the death (1879) of the Prince Imperial (called Napoleon IV by French Bonapartists).

O'Casey, Sean, 1880-1964The collection consists of a photograph album containing photographs of Siam [now Thailand]. The subject of most of them are Siamese people, including the Royal Family. Also included are some shots of Bangkok scenes, houseboats, and Europeans visiting the photographer's house. The hand coloured copperplates are of Switzerland.

The collection consists of a photograph album in an Japanese decorated lacquer case, done in the accordion manner. The two figures on the case have ivory heads inset. The album contains fifty 9.5 x 7.5 black and white photographs taken during the early part of the Boxer Rebellion, commencing in June 3 1900. It includes pictures of the destruction houses, larger buildings, railway lines, the capture of Chinese prisoners and various English, German and Japanese troops. Each photograph has its own typeset legend underneath
