Monteith family fonds

The fonds consists of a scrapbook of World War I compiled by Anne Berkely Monteith for her two sons, Roger George Monteith and William Berkely Monteith. Scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs, and correspondence relating to the conflict. The scrapbook was later updated, presumably by V. Elspeth Beckett, to include newspaper clippings of the obituaries of Roger and William.

The fonds consists of family photographs, school annuals and report cards, miscellaneous records and books. Family photographs consist of images of the Monteith family (including William Banks Monteith), friends, St. Michael's University School students and scenes of Victoria. School annuals consist of magazines and annuals from Oak Bay High School and Victoria College. Report cards are from John Monteith's years at Oak Bay High School. Miscellaneous records consist of business cards, newspaper clippings and other ephemera collected by the Monteith family. Books consists of histories of St. Michael's University School and the Union Club of British Columbia.
