Collection consists of records gathered or purchased by Peter N. Moogk as a result of his interest in Second World War history. Records document the Holocaust era in Europe, in particular the Netherlands under the German occupation government. This collection consists of photocopied documents, mainly from the colonial period, relating to Comox District history. Dr. Pritchard organized the material into ten groupings and prefaced each with an introduction and remarks on the historical value of the documents.
The ten groupings are: 1) Records of Exploration 1791-1860, 2) Naval Records 1846-65, 3) Colonial Government Records 1862-71, 4) Anglican Records 1862-91, 5) Vancouver Island Exploring Expedition: Unpublished Journals 1864, 6) Euclataws, Settlers and the Navy 1863-65, 7) Liquor Traffic 1863-65, 8) Comox Natives: Some Reports and Descriptions 1860-90, 9) Province of British Columbia: Sessional Papers 1871-1910, 1918, 10) H M Laing: Comox Writings 1927-c. 1950.
Copies are from original manuscripts at various institutions including the British Columbia Archives, the British National Archives at Kew, the Hudson Bay Company Archives, and the Library at the University of Toronto.

The collection consists of notebooks containing general orders for Swinley Camp (1800) and orders for Horsham Barracks (1807) of the British Army. Also included is a collection of photographs of British prisoners of war at Stalag VIIIB, Lamsdorf, Germany. Some were used as postcards and were sent through the Prisoners of War Post (Kriegsgefangenenpost) to their destinations in England.

Fonds consists of materials which document and reflect Charles Humphries' involvement with the Historic Sites and Monuments Board, and the Provincial Heritage Advisory Board. The materials include correspondence, reports, minutes (published and unpublished), and agenda papers (published and unpublished). Research materials include typed notes from newspaper articles, photocopies of newspaper articles, papers, transcripts and photocopies from various Canadian and British archives, and copies of death and birth certificates. Fonds also includes some biographical materials. The collection consists of a sketchbook with drawings largely of churches, country houses, and other architectural subjects. It includes a few loose and pasted-in sketches at the back. There is a poem of unknown derivation under the first sketch in the book, preceded by an index to 62 sketches dated 1821-1824. Later sketches are pasted in or loose.

The collection consists of a leather bound volume, consisting mainly of handwritten transcriptions of a selection of Rossini's works. They are taken from the operas "Italian in Algiers", "Tancredi", and "Otello". Also included is one selection from the Saverio Mercadante (1795-1870) opera "El Puerto Abandonada". All the words are translated into Spanish. The volume bears several labels of "Academia de Musica de J.N. Loretta."

The fonds consists of a volume of red leather with gold decoration. The title is printed in pencil on the inside of the front cover. There are thirty-nine clippings of the cartoons pasted in. A few have legends and another few are identified in pencil. Pasted to the front flyleaf is a holograph pass to the gallery of the House of Commons issued to Mr. Maude by Robert Ferguson on March 27, 1830.

The fonds consists of four volumes of photographs, the first of which also contains drawings. The drawings commence in 1846 (done by family friend) and recommence in 1884 (done by JHA and friends). The final drawing seems to be 1890. The photographs cover the period 1884-1909. They begin in England and also cover Ireland, St. Helena, South Africa, and Scotland. Some have a military setting but some are scenic and social.

The fonds consists of records relating to Roy's university administrative activities and his research in aspects of military history, including Canadian history and Canada's involvement in World War I and World War II (particularly the Normandy campaign). Fonds includes photocopies of war diaries, files on various Canadian Army regiments and battalions (including the 31st Infantry Battalion, the 1st Battalion Regina Rifle Regiment, Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary's), the Seaforth Highlanders, and the B.C. Dragoons), files on the Canadian Officers Training Corps UBC Contingent University of Victoria Detachment, files on Canadian defence and military policy, audio interviews with Canadian military officers, clippings and other material concerning South Africa and South-West Africa/Namibia, and material relating to the Fenians (1880-1881). Fonds also contains minutes, correspondence and reports relating to academic committees and associations (including the University of Victoria Alumni Association), records relating to the Canadian Confederation Centennial Committee of British Columbia Historic Commemorations Sub-Committee, and background material, notes and drafts for Roy's books. Fonds also consists of material collected by Roy including the papers (1943-1979) of John Laurie (RCAF Provost Marshall), Rev. E.G. Parker, and the Red Chevron Association of Vancouver Island. The fonds also consists of an audio cassette of music from the war years. The fonds also includes 46 issues of South African Soldier.
