The fonds consists largely of correspondence and financial records that pertain to Thomas Ladner's business ventures in salmon canning and farming. Thomas Ladner's correspondence April 28, 1892 to November 11, 1896 (of which this archives holds photocopies) is made up of letters sent to Robert Paterson Rithet, Ladner's agent and business partner in the Victoria Canning Co. Ltd. The financial records largely concern Thomas' farming operation, of which the ledger of 1919-1924 provides the most complete documentation.
