There is also one copy of the first newspaper published in Victoria in the Chinese language, 1858, one locally hand-done native poster, and Boy Scouts of Canada charter for St. George's Indian Residential School.

Collection consists of correspondence relating to Japanese Canadians in the Pitt Meadows area during the World War II years. Included is a photograph of the Japanese Meeting Hall on Advent Road.

The collection consists of photographs depicting the growth and development of the Canadian Japanese community in B.C. from early immigration to just prior to the redress movement.

Fonds consists of images of the 1960 fire that razed most of Chinatown. June Leahy, who took all the colour slides, used one of the earliest SLR Pentax cameras while Bill Leahy, who took most of the black and white photographs, used a Leica camera. The photographs of the day after the fire were taken by June. The Leahys were friends with RCMP Staff Sergeant Earle Sarsiat who notified Bill Leahy of the fire; the Leahys were on site soon after the fire was reported.

The fonds consists predominantly of reprinted images of photographs taken in the 1930s and 1940s. Subjects include the Civic Arena, May Day Parade, Roller Rink, locomotives, Central Sports Grounds and Jung at various activities.
