Included is a contract between the Minister of Public Works, the Honourable Thomas Taylor, and Solomon Cameron of the Westholme Lumber Company (January 11, 1909) of Prince Rupert to build plank roadways and sidewalks. Also included is a contract between the Department of Public Works and the Grant Bros. Company of Vancouver (February 8, 1909) for the completion of sewerage works (sewers, drains, and manholes) at Prince Rupert, BC. Blueprints for the sewer project are included as well.

Includes fishery record ledgers of license holders (1911 - 1912) in the Skeena River District listed by cannery (Balmoral, Claxton, Oceanic, British America, Inverness, Carlise, North Pacific, Cunningham, Dominion, Cassiar, Skeena River Commerical, Alexandria) and includes court cases and cash receipts. The 1908 court records lists convicting judges C.J. South , George B. Baillie, J.T. Williams, and E. Lorenz. Includes a letter book (January 1908 to July 1916) which contains outgoing correspondence concerning police and fishery reports, correspondence to government agents William Manson and J.H. McMullin, chief constables William H. Vickers, T.G. Wynn, W. Owen, and Ernest Gammon, reports to the Commissioner of Fisheries in Victoria by Provincial Fishery Overseers constables Alexander Forsyth and Kenneth F. Birchall, letters to Indian Agents Charles Clifton Perry in Metlakatla, and letters by George A. Shade, Deputy Mining Recorder. Also includes Lett's 1908 Indian & Colonial Almanac with reports, correspondence, and wanted criminals, and includes a police day book at the back. Names of constables include: C. Cullen, G. The collection consists of photographs that were collected by Francis and Lily Brown when they lived in Prince Rupert from 1911 to 1917. Some of the photographs are originals, some are postcards and others are copies of the originals still held by the family. The photographs include scenes such as Crippen Cove, the arrival of the Duke of Connaught on the Princess Alice in September 1912, blasting of areas for expanding the city, 3rd Avenue in 1911 and the arrival of the first train from Winnipeg in 1914.

Ephemera consists of a Prince Rupert General Hospital feeding schedule for Barbara Blain, a Reid's Holiday Tog. Ltd. for Miss M. The fonds consists of materials related to the film "A Test in Time," produced in 1945 by the Prince Rupert and District Union Board of Health. It includes an original script to accompany the film and a video cassette copy of the original film. The film covered various aspects of health in the Prince Rupert region such as industry, child rearing, vaccinations, sanitation, chlorination, pest control, milk production, and diseases. People who were living in Prince Rupert and featured in the film were Medical Health Officer Dr. Roger Knipe, Olive Johnson, Bea Fry, Public Health Nurses, Malcolm Harper, Public Health Inspector, receptionist Phyllis Batt, and Vivian and Irene Harper as members of the public. Also includes the annual report for Skeena Health Unit from 1975, and a pamphlet entitled "Pacific Panorama" distributed by the Department of National Health and Welfare Medical Services that refers to Miller Bay Hospital in September 1962.
