The Curatorial Department sous-fonds consists of records created by curators, assistant curators, curatorial assistants and administrative support staff, all of whom are involved in the planning of exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The sous-fonds is divided into two series: the Exhibition series, and the Administrative records series.
Vancouver Art Gallery Association - Curatorial DepartmentThe fonds consists of the records created and collected by the Public Programs department at the Vancouver Art Gallery, as well as the records created by the preceding Education and Extension departments. The fonds contains the records that pertain to family, adult, school, and curatorial exhibition programming; exhibitions produced by and for the Programs department; docent and animateur tour programs; and collaborative projects with external organizations and associations. It also includes administrative records, grant applications, and program statistics and reports.
The records include correspondence, memoranda, itineraries and travel documents, reports and meeting minutes, policy documents, copy and drafts, project proposals, exhibition and program information sheets, education materials and didactics, preparatory materials and installation sketches, program documents, press releases and promotional material, as well as photographs, slides, and miscellaneous publications.
