Letter to Al Lefebvre

Consists of a letter from Dan Rogers, Promotions Director of the Prince George Spruce Kings, to Al Lefebvre, Director of Finance of UNBC. The letter thanks Lefebvre for his attendance and support of the Spruce Kings' recent exhibition series with the Victoria Warriors and summarizes the series. Post-script on letter reads as follows : "I have included an autographed hat and puck that U.N.B.C. can keep for prosperity."

Consists of 1 puck signed by the Prince George Spruce Kings. The black puck is signed in blue ink by the team members of the 1991 Prince George Spruce Kings Junior "A" Hockey Club. The puck features a blue crown, and is labelled "Prince George Spruce Kings."

Consists of 1 hat signed by the Prince George Spruce Kings. The hat is a white corduroy ball cap signed in red ink by the team members of the 1991 Prince George Spruce Kings Junior "A" Hockey Club. The hat features a blue and red crown, and is labelled in red "Prince George Spruce Kings."

Fonds consists of textual, photographic, cartographic, electronic and promotional films/video recordings related to the mining operations of Cassiar Asbestos Mining Corporation (CAMC) and creation of Cassiar townsite. CAMC records primarily consist of records related to mining operations including construction, engineering, daily mining operations, administration of CAMC, tallies of extractions, labour and union activities, corporate events and visits by dignitaries. Townsite records are primarily visual representations of townsite construction, including the creation of health, education and community services including Cassiar's private hospital, school, library, as well as townsite images. Photographs include documentation of natural and man-made landscapes within the Cassiar region of Northern BC. Other holdings include a near complete run of Cassiar's community newspaper.

Fonds contains 12.5 cm of textual records consisting of drafts of papers, off-prints of articles authored and co-authored by Fish, and files pertaining to his consultancy work in the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Also contains digital records and on diskettes (which have been migrated to CD), which include correspondence, memoranda, drafts, and other working files.

Series consists of different drafts of Chapter 7, "Unlocking the Medicine Chest: The Implications of Transferring Control of Health Services to First Nations," for the book, Prospering Together: The Economic Impact of Aboriginal Settlement in British Columbia, published by the Laurier Institute, as well as other related records.

Chapter 7: Unlocking the Medicine Chest: The Implications of Transferring Control of Health Services to First Nations

Consists of 1 edited and revised early draft of chapter for Prospering Together. Initial paper--which was subsequently heavily revised--was written by Lee G. Morrison and David Fish, and was entitled "Land Claims Settlement and the Devolution of Control of Health Services: The Health and Economic Report".

Chapter 7: Unlocking the Medicine Chest: the Implications of Transferring Control of Health Services to First Nations [later draft]

Consists of 1 later draft of chapter for Prospering Together, entitled "Chapter 7: Unlocking the Medicine Chest: the Implications of Transferring Control of Health Services to First Nations." Also includes 1 Laurier Institution brochure entitled "The Challenge of Diversity," and 1 cover letter. Cover letter, from Ann G. Roberts, Executive Assistant, Laurier Institution, asks Dr. David Fish to amend submitted chapter and then approve the final version for publication.
