The majority of the photographs are stored in photo albums and document Hubert Blenkinsop's early life in England, his time spent on a farm in the Chilco region of British Columbia, his service in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in World War I, and his married life and family. Later volumes of the photo albums were presumably compiled by Winsome Blenkinsop and document holidays, vacations, places of residence, parades, buildings and construction sites in Victoria.
