McC." with holo note, to Isabel Mitchell accepting an invitation to visit, and a June 24, 1939 tls from McClung to Isabel Mitchell referring to her brother's book. Her brother, Rev. Thomas H. Mitchell, wrote "The Drama of Life" (1922) with a preface by McClung.

Dukes, Ashley, 1885-1959The collection consists of records relating to School District No. 43 and schools in Coquitlam. The records include formal class portraits, staff portraits, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, school publications and newspapers, school annuals, and an assortment of crests.
School District No. 43The collection consists of Johnston's second typescript draft (as finally rejected) of "Shadowdance", later called "The Old Lady Says No!", with holograph corrections by W.B. Yeats and others. Also included are photocopies of several early drafts of this play, including the aforementioned. In addition, there is the author's proof copy, with corrections, of "The Brazen Horn, Lenaea 5" (1968) [probably for 2nd ed. 1969, amended to Lenaea 6]. The fonds also consists of correspondence from Denis and Betty Johnston to Bill and Mary Harbold from 1973-1982; a signed photograph of Johnston; photocopies of book reviews and book chapters re Johnston; a copy of Nine Rivers from Jordan with final corrections; and a copy of the libretto of Nine Rivers from Jordan.
Johnston, Denis, 1901-1984The collection consists of a handwritten letter to J. M. Humphries concerning the possible purchase of one of his own published books. Also included is a handwritten copy, in another hand, of a Bottomley poem about Merlin, "Lines written by Gordon Bottomley at Merlindale".
Bottomley, Gordon, 1874-1948The photographs show the small farms and family life of Delta Manor prior to the Second World War and its development as a suburb of Ladner in the 1960's. The photographs of children growing up in Delta Manor in the 1930's and in the 1960's are particularly featured and a set of photographs of the ground-breaking ceremony for the first St. David's Anglican Church building in Tsawwassen, which was located at 12th and 56th Street on land that was previously owned by the Brandrith family. The fonds also includes a copy of a letter from Alice Fogg to a friend in England that tells about the flood of 1935.

Baillie, WilliamThe collection consists of letters written by Forster to Randall. They concern, firstly, his trip to Rumania, where he stayed with the Randalls; a tour in France in 1928; and his journey home. Later letters include references to such literary people as Herbert Read, Harold Monro and T.S. Eliot, plus a mention of reading James Joyce's "Ulysses". He also refers to his visit to Africa and his sentiments about the Spanish Civil War and W.W.II. Most of the later letters are signed "Morgan".
Forster, E. M. (Edward Morgan), 1879-1970The collection consists of one handwritten and seven typed, signed letters to W. Harrison together with one typed, signed letter response. The letters are mostly concerned with the topic of spiritualism. Soutar refers to Henry Ford, Dawson Scott, Sir Oliver Lodge, Walter de la Mare, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The collection consists of a handwritten letter to Charles Lahr. In the letter, he mentions his story? "Waxworks" which he had sent him. He also mentions that he has received a letter from Jack Lindsay, who likes his story "A Bed Of Feathers", which Lindsay hopes to publish in his magazine.
