Fonds consists of material collected and created by Art Powell concerning forest history during his research. Includes audiocassette tapes and transcripts, photographs, a binder of notes from the Enderby newspapers, one original essay. Research material includes photocopies of records from BCARS including descriptions of trails in the Shuswap Forest District, lists of Spallumcheen Forest licensees and a brief by Mabel Lake Shingle Ltd. describing the operation and requesting a change in timber allocations for specialty mills.

Canadian Fishing Company fonds

Fonds consists of cannery ledgers, minutes, labour contracts, correspondence, licences and inspection reports for canneries, operational records of the reduction plant at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, photographs, publications and a "China Contract" which sets out the terms for the provision of labourers for the Gulf of Georgia Cannery in its first year of operation. The labour contracts also describe agreements between the Canadian Fishing Company and members of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union governing hours of work, wages and fish prices. The minutes are those describing the establishment of the Gulf of Georgia Canning Company in 1894. The most complete records are those of the operation of the reduction plant from the 1940s to the 1970s. Records include a set of copies of plant insurance appraisal plans and blueprints, obtained from originals at UBC Special Collections. Fonds arranged in three series and two sous-fonds: Series 1. The collection consists of ship's plans predominantly of vessels on the West Coast of Canada, including ships constructed and repaired at shipyards of Yarrows Limited (Esquimalt, B.C.) and the Victoria Machinery Depot. Many of the plans were received from these two firms. The collection includes plans of Canadian Pacific Princess and Empress ships.

Coal Miner's Handbook; a handbill for a union meeting, a medical certificate for Isaac; and a small notebook that records cheques sent and received and various other items. Also included are the eye glasses and cases of Thomas and Mary Aitken.

Dan Radford fonds

Fonds consists of photographs and certificates that relate to Radford's work as a coal miner and local and provincial labour representative. Photographs include views of a mine rescue team, Radford at a conference in Turkey, a United Mine Workers of America Convention in Calgary, a strike at Imperial Laundry in Nanaimo, and Ladysmith miners. Certificates include a Certificate of Competency (1927) and a receipt for a certificate from the Granby Mine (1928).

The fonds consists of records generated by the operation of the Brunswick Cannery on Canoe Pass from 1897 to 1926, under the ownership of the Brunswick Cannery Company, and after 1902, under the ownership of the British Columbia Packers Association and British Columbia Fishing and Packing Company Ltd. The fonds also includes records belonging to the Anglo American Canning Company Ltd. probably because the company's president, Francis Griffin Bell, became the manager of Brunswick Cannery for the Association in 1902. The fonds includes licenses, contracts, financial and fishermen's records generated by daily operations, plant inventories, and correspondence. The records are not complete. The records reflect its operation as a branch of the British Columbia Packers Association and therefore give insight into the operation of the Association. The fonds has been arranged into 9 series: annual reports, correspondence, financial records, fishermen's records, Francis G. Bell family records, legal records, miscellaneous material, personnel records, and plant inventories.
