VHS was produced by the State of New Jersey Natural Lands Trust in Trenton, N.J. The film was shot on February 26, 1987, but the length of the film is unknown. Contact information for R.W. Butler - Wildlife Biologist for the Canadian Wildlife Service is attached to the front of the VHS case.
It is presumed that the content of this VHS reflects Martin Keeley's interest in the shorebirds along Delta and Point Roberts. The VHS may have been used by Martin Keeley or other members of the Point Roberts Heron Preservation Committee, the Boundary Bay Conservation Committee or the Fraser for Life.

Series consists of materials collected by Martin Keeley, and others, during his time as a member of the Fraser for Life Communications Society and executive director of the Friends of Boundary Bay. The materials were generated from both his home in Point Roberts as well as the offices in Ladner, B.C. and around Delta.

Graphic material includes photographs from the Iona Beach Regional Park Grand Opening, of a Mahri Sherlock performance, and other individual photos documenting events at which the Fraser for Life participated in.

The photographs show Premier Bill Vander Zalm interacting with the public and being filmed by media cameras, as well as talking more intimately with 3 other unknown people. In the foreground of photographs 2 through 17, three children can be seen dressed up in the Friends of Boundary Bay or Fraser for Life Interpretive Programs costumes. The children could be representing the organizations at the grand opening. All of the photographs in this file are very similar, showing only small changes in where Vander Zalm is looking or who he is talking to.
All photograph prints are 3.5x5 and negatives are 1x1.5.

The majority of the photographs show a great blue heron that has been placed inside of a fenced in area and one photograph shows a group of great blue herons wading into the ocean. The photographs was taken by or for the Point Roberts Heron Preservation Committee. The man in the photographs is Floyd Wilson (Manager of the Gas Barn) and the heron is nicknamed "Gus." Wilson tried to nurse the heron back to health in the summer 1989. An article was printed in the All Point Bulletin and The Heron News for summer 1989.

Item consists of similar colour photographs showing Linda George, another unknown woman and an unknown boy, removing a log from outside of a house and doing some gardening. The house is most located at 1469 Gulf Road, Point Roberts, Washington. The woman were involved with the Point Roberts Heron Preservation Committee. There is a red wheelbarrow that is holding the gardening debris. The house was used by the Point Roberts Heron Preservation Committee as an office, called Heron House, obtained by Dennis Campbell.
