It includes correspondence, reports, handwritten notes and drafts, talks and articles, both published and unpublished ones, minutes of various meetings, photographs, research projects, talks and articles and biographical information. Rothstein, Samuel, 1921-The collection consists of sound recordings of interviews with pioneers of Salt Spring Island and of addresses of meetings of the Salt Spring Island Historical Society. The collection includes interviews conducted as part of the C.B.C. Imbert Orchard series, the Salt Spring Senior Citizens Project (1977), a project done by Tony Farr, and projects of the Salt Spring Island Historical Society.

Thompson, Robert N.Fonds consists of three plans indicating the workings of the Louden-Wakelem slopes and Carruthers slopes of Wellington #9 mine from 1949 until 1964. The latest is incomplete but does include a manuscript schematic drawing of Nanaimo mine locations. Copies of Mr. Carruthers miner's certificates, copies of newspaper articles written about Mr. Carruthers upon his retirement and his textbooks on mining are also included. A number of these are from the International Correspondence School (ICS). Also included are two Special Rules booklets that outline the rules and regulations of Western Fuel Company mines in Nanaimo and descriptions of various mine jobs (shotlighter, bratticemen, loaders etc.).
Carruthers, Robert, b. 1899The Riverview Hospital Historical Society collection consists of the records collected and maintained by the Riverview Hospital Historical Society (RHHS). Through their museum and library, the RHHS acquired and stewarded records documenting the history of Riverview Hospital, the British Columbia School of Psychiatric Nursing, and the history of psychiatric care in British Columbia.
The collection consists of a range of documentary forms, including: reports, theses, newspaper clippings, newsletters, publications, correspondence, manuals, plans and drawings, directories, inventories, procedures, programmes, annuals, invitations, motion pictures, personal narratives, staff lists, minutes, study notes, scrapbooks, ephemera, and photographs depicting aspects of social and administrative life at the hospital and school.

Also included is a collection of bound copies of John Ridington’s articles and speeches (1911-1944).
