The collection consists mostly of correspondence from Russell about his social and literary activities. The vast majority of this correspondence is to William K. Magee. There are a few letters to Charles Weekes, Robert Graves, and Miss Buxton. In addition, there is a letter from AE's son Diarmuid Russell to Magee re Magee's proposed biography of AE and a photocopy of a letter (transcript) to Judge Richard Campbell from Dudley Digges re Campbell's broadcast "Farewell to AE". Other materials include a few clippings about AE (obit etc.) and an undated b/w photo of AE.

Collection is comprised of Nazi-era printed ephemera, photographs and a Hitler Youth dagger collected by Royal Canadian Engineer Robert Brown, who served in the Second World War. Postcards and cigarette cards document Nazi party activities and personnel, bombs, the German retreat from the Netherlands and other subjects.

Acc. 1991-076 comprises: a tls from "your fellow writer, Nellie L. McClung" to George Bugnet, Dec. 9, 1931, mentions sending a copy of her "new book"; a Christmas broadsheet poem signed "R. W. and Nellie McClung" with a printed photo attached of the McClung's titled "At the Great Divide, August 1932" and 6 newspaper clippings.
Acc. 1996-016 comprises items from J. and D. Gilbert's collection from Nellie McClung's personal library and papers (see note). Included are: a Christmas card with holograph verse to "Mr. and Mrs. McClung" signed James L. Hughes; a poem clipping titled "To My Dear Friends: Who made my 75th Birthday the Happiest of my my long list of Birthdays" with Hughes's comment, "Nearly nine years ago"; a 1 page hls ,"Dec. 28.", to McClung from Hughes; a 1 page holo. Acc. 2000-086 consists of a Mar. 22nd [1939?] hls, "Nellie L. McC." with holo note, to Isabel Mitchell accepting an invitation to visit, and a June 24, 1939 tls from McClung to Isabel Mitchell referring to her brother's book. Her brother, Rev. Thomas H. Mitchell, wrote "The Drama of Life" (1922) with a preface by McClung.

The collection consists of a framed facsimile (or possible forgery) of The Absent-Minded Beggar, an 1899 poem by Rudyard Kipling. The poem was set to music by Sir Arthur Sullivan as part of an appeal to raise money for the Boer War.

The collection consists of a carbon typescript, with her holograph corrections, of "D.H. Lawrence" (first version) and a carbon typescript, with her holograph corrections, of "W.B. Yeats: Some Memories", together with 2 photographs; one of Patmore and the other of W.B. Yeats, both taken at Rapallo 1928-29. Also included are two explanatory sheets by her son, Derek Patmore. The first is a typescript "Brigit Patmore & D.H. Lawrence", the second a manuscript "Some memories of WB Yeats by Brigit Patmore".

The collection consists of notebooks containing general orders for Swinley Camp (1800) and orders for Horsham Barracks (1807) of the British Army. Also included is a collection of photographs of British prisoners of war at Stalag VIIIB, Lamsdorf, Germany. Some were used as postcards and were sent through the Prisoners of War Post (Kriegsgefangenenpost) to their destinations in England.
