Collection consists of copy negatives and copy prints of images from Mr. McConnell's album that pertain to his service at R.C.A.F. Station Boundary Bay, and a photocopy of the entire album made in 1983. The album records Mr. McConnell's service in the R.C.A.F. from March 13, 1941 to November 3, 1945. The captioned images document the kind of training men received under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, and some of the action McConnell saw overseas. Included are class photographs, photographs of air crews and aircraft and places visited on leave, aerial views of Boundary Bay Airfield and Delta, and newsclippings that record bombing runs and the fate of friends in the airforce.

Collection consists of envelopes cacheted (stamped or imprinted) with the names and logos of ships in the Canadian, British and American naval and maritime service collected by John M. MacFarlane by sending requests to the various vessels and asking them reply using the envelopes he provided. With few exceptions, the materials were posted between 1977 and 1979.;Most of the envelopes have ships mailroom cancellations. A few of the envelopes have captains privilege franking (signature of a ships official rather than a stamp). Also included are relevant items such as pictures or postal cards showing the vessels or other records related to the vessel (usually brochures/pamphlets).

This fonds consists of photographs and postcards taken or collected by J. Lewis Sangster during his time spent in New Westminster, during his time traveling and during his time spent overseas during World War I. Sangster developed a large number of the photographs himself, in a small cellar in his home that was converted into a darkroom. The fonds has been divided into three series based on content: Sangster Family, Military, and New Westminster Subjects. Included in the Military series, there is a collection of Canadian Official postcards published by the British newspaper The Daily Mirror, which Sangster collected during his time serving in World War I. The family series consists of photographs taken by Sangster of his family members, as well as pictures that Sangster received from extended family members.
