Collection is comprised of records accumulated as a result of the participation of the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre in a project entitled Writing Lives: The Holocaust Survivor Memoir Project. Writing Lives was a partnership between Langara College’s English and History departments, the Azrieli Foundation and the VHEC. For the project, students at Langara College worked closely with Vancouver-based Holocaust survivors to produce their written memoirs over the course of two semesters. In the first semester, students learned the history of the Holocaust. In the second semester, students interviewed survivors, transcribed the interviews and together with the survivors, completed written memoirs. In this fonds are the memoirs, administrative files and digital photographs produced during the two-year run of the project. Seven survivors participated in the first year of the project, from 2016–2017; five survivors participated in the second year of the project, from 2017 to 2018.

Collection is divided into three series: Memoirs (2017–2018), Administrative files (2016–2018) and Photographs (2017–2018).

Series consists of records relating to columns that Taylor wrote for local newspapers in the Okanagan region of BC. Includes samples of columns written for the Kelowna Courier and Penticton Herald (July to December 2009); satirical articles relating to local people and politics (the Back Fence, 2008); and samples of columns from a local weekly paper, the Lake Country Calendar (2007).

Fonds consists of matted prints of engravings made from sketches created by John Webber as official artist on Captain James Cook’s third voyage. Prints depict landscapes, animals, people, clothing styles, architecture, and events that were encountered on the voyage in places such as New Zealand, the Friendly Islands (Tonga), the Sandwich Islands (the Hawaiian Islands), Nootka Sound (Vancouver Island, BC), and Van Dieman’s Land (Tasmania).

Sub-series consists of guest book, photograph permissions, booklets, research and draft exhibition panels for the exhibition Canada Responds to the Holocaust, 1944-45, which ran from October 16, 2016, to June 30, 2017.

The series consists of textual records, photographs, and videos relating to the various committees, activities, groups, and projects that Russell Hellard was involved with at Dogwood Pavilion including the Dogwood Lifewriters' Group, the Dogwood Veterans' Group, the Volunteer Improvement Committee, Community Volunteer Services for Seniors, the Multicultural Committee, and the Senior Safety Committee.

The fonds consists of the operational records of the Coquitlam Teacher Librarians' Association from 1964 to 2017. The records include the constitution, meeting minutes, grant and funding information, award information, statistics, contacts lists, and records relating to annual conferences.

Fonds consists of records documenting the programs and activities of the Radio Society / CiTR (including DISCORDER), including textual records and sound recordings of a variety of programs, radio plays, campus events, public service announcements, photographs of the radio studio and from different events, and advertisements produced by the Radio Society for broadcast on its station (CYVR/CiTR) or affiliated radio stations. In addition, the fonds includes recordings of interviews conducted on behalf of the Alma Mater society relating to its art collection. Fonds also consists of materials related to the administration of the radio station including information about licensing, executive meetings, policies, job descriptions, and staff training.

The subseries consists of a number of Veterans' Stories booklets from 2005 to 2007, as well as news clippings, minutes, and reports from the Dogwood Veterans' Group. The subseries also contains photographs of members of the Dogwood Veterans' Group that were included in the booklets, as well as photographs of various events attended by members.

The series consists of records relating to advocacy efforts including presentations to trustees and other organizations, budgetary recommendations, and allotment recommendations.

Series consists of five scrapbooks and two binders. CFUW Vernon referred to these as "Archive Binders." Scrapbooks and binders contain newspaper clippings, captioned photographs, certificates of recognition, and other records of significance to CFUW Vernon during the years 1965-2017. Most records within the scrapbooks have been taped or glued down.

The fonds consists of records relating to Russell Hellard's volunteering initiatives in Coquitlam, including his participation in the Crime Prevention Committee, the Community Policing Committee, the Mundy Park Sub Committee, the Crime Prevention Society, the BC Summer Games, the Centennial Committee, Block Watch, Vandal Watch, Court Watch, among others. The fonds also includes personal and family records, including a collection of photographs from his service in Canada and Australia during the Second World War.

The series consists of one document that details the various recipients of CTLA awards from 2000 to 2017.

The fonds consists of program content guides and minutes from the Education Council and the Council of Educational Managers meetings.

Fonds consists of materials related to the life and career of Margaret Dragu, spanning her years as an artist in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. These materials include audio-visual recordings of her many performances, photographs related to both her art and her personal life, and textual records ranging from correspondence and financial statements to creative writing drafts and chapbooks. There is also a substantial amount of newspaper clippings, programs, promotional materials, and general ephemera. Records in this fonds also document her collaborations with artists and organizations such as Tom Dean, Susan Macpherson, Randy Gledhill, The Western Front, and Breakthrough Films.

Types of materials in this fonds include: printed documents and publications, photographs (printed and digital), photographic negatives and slides (35mm), moving image recordings (MiniDV, DVD, VHS, Betacam SP, 3/4 inch videotape: U-matic, 16mm film, 8mm film), and audio recordings (audio cassette tapes).
