The collection consists primarily of published map series of Europe during World War I and World War II, and several of Asia, Africa, Australia and North America. Some aerial photographs are included.

The Apiculture (beekeeping) collection is an artificial grouping of documentary materials relating to the methods, science and culture of beekeeping. The collection was established by the SFU Archives as a complement to its other holdings relating to apiculture, such as the fonds of the British Columbia Honey Producers' Association (F-147), and the papers of SFU faculty member Mark Winston (F-174).

The collection consists of publications, conference proceedings, minutes, correspondence, photographs, and moving images. Material includes government publications, correspondence and registers of provincial beekeepers in British Columbia; published research articles, presentations and reports; course outlines and course material relating to the Bee Masters program and honey judging in British Columbia; photographs of various BC beekeeping activities and personalities; copies of meeting minutes and other records of various beekeeping associations in British Columbia and Canada; moving images featuring beekeeping activities and topics; and various subject files relating to the history of beekeeping in BC.

The collection consists of records documenting various branches of the Canadian Army. Collection includes photographs of parades and drills taken by the Department of National Defence; photocopies of military order of the 1st Canadian Army during World War II; copies of intelligence tests administered by the Canadian Armed Forces; correspondence, maps, daily reports and copies of morale reports of the Canadian Militia Training Centre No. 111, Gordon Head Camp, together with some photos; booklet of poems by R.W. Day of Sidney Camp; orders for Operation Overlord (D-Day) and other military orders of the 16th (Canadian Scottish) Infantry Battalion; and, miscellaneous reports (including those related to the Dieppe raid), brochures and reference material; Militia Orders (photocopy) 1899; "Secret War Diary" 1-31 May 1941, 6th Cdn. Infantry Brigade; 102 Battalion, 7th platoon roll book, 1896.

The collection consists of photographs and postcards from Africa, South East Asia, China, Japan, and Korea. Those items from China and surrounding countries appear to be from about the time of The Boxer Rebellion. Only one photograph is dated ( a Korean one -1899). Also included is a copy of the "Gaelic Roller". The S.S. Gaelic appears to have been an American vessel on a journey from Honolulu to the Philippines. The ship's 'paper' has as its editors J. S. MacNider (Shanghai), Grant Wallace (Evening Bulletin, San Francisco), and H. J. Whigham (Morning Post, London). They have signed the front page. The copy is a holograph paste-up version.

The collection consists of a photograph album in an Japanese decorated lacquer case, done in the accordion manner. The two figures on the case have ivory heads inset. The album contains fifty 9.5 x 7.5 black and white photographs taken during the early part of the Boxer Rebellion, commencing in June 3 1900. It includes pictures of the destruction houses, larger buildings, railway lines, the capture of Chinese prisoners and various English, German and Japanese troops. Each photograph has its own typeset legend underneath

Indo-Canadian collection

From 1979-1981 the University Archives collected historical information on the Indo-Canadian Community in British Columbia with a view towards acquiring records in this area. The Archives prepared a bibliography, and made copies of relevant material. According to Professor Hugh Johnston, the collection contains a fairly complete set of all articles written up to 1980 about Indo-Canadians in BC. The Archives also acquired some photographs from the community. Since the conclusion of the project, the Archives has shifted its primary acquisition focus away from ethnic collections.

Collection consists of photocopied magazine articles, theses, books, reports, newspaper clippings and other secondary sources about Indo-Canadians. The information is primarily about the Sikh community, but there is also some material on Hindu immigrants. There is one file of photographic prints and negatives.

Collection also contains one file of correspondence with Ray Hundle, who corresponded with the University Archives regarding his research on the possible establishment of a Sikh temple in Golden, BC in 1880.

Material is in Punjabi and English.

Rudyard Kipling collection

The collection consists of a framed facsimile (or possible forgery) of The Absent-Minded Beggar, an 1899 poem by Rudyard Kipling. The poem was set to music by Sir Arthur Sullivan as part of an appeal to raise money for the Boer War.

Morishita family collection

The collection consists of six series of papers, photographs and artefacts amassed by the Morishita family. The first series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the patriarch of the family, Teiji Morishita. The second series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to Teiji's wife, Sawa Morishita. The third series consists of papers and artefacts amassed while the Morishitas (with the Ebisuzakis) ran the Ebisuzaki Shoten (store) at 337 Powell Street in Vancouver, BC. The fourth series consists of family photographs and artefacts belonging to the Morishita family. The fifth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Morishita children. And the sixth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Ebisuzaki family.

The collection consists of letters and verse written by Gogarty to G. K. A. Bell, Ulick O'Connor, and others [some of this material used in: Ulick O'Connor's The Times I've Seen: Oliver St. John Gogarty, NY, Obelensky, 1963, (SC) PR6013 O28Z8]. The others include 2 hls to W.R.. Fearon (1937), 3 pp re evidence given by Fearon in Henry Morris Sinclair's libel suit against Gogarty; 1 hls, 1 p to the President of the Irish Free State (11.09.38); 1 tls with h. additions, 3 pp to J.M.N. Jeffries (16.05.1933); 1 p h. with an 8 line comic verse about Hitler signed and dated 13.01.44; 1 tls., 1 p to "Seamus" (13.09.49); 1 tls. 2 pp to Mr. Smart (21.04.52). Also included is a holograph verse 6 pp. "To his Extraordinary Friend George Kennedy Allen Bell about to go to Switzerland," no date, on stationary headed "The Tower, Sandycove".

The collection consists of 9 photographs and copies of photographs showing scenes of Prince Rupert and area, groups of townspeople, a stone totem pole at Metlakatla, and a man poling a dug-out canoe probably on the Skeena River. It includes two newspaper clippings, one from the BC Saturday Sunset dated September 14, 1912 and another from The Globe dated Saturday March 23, 1907. The bound volumes of the Prince Rupert Empire newspaper were transferred to Special Collections. See accompanying note.
