This fonds comprises records of four Cortes Island women's service organizations, including minutes, financial records, administrative records, correspondence, photographs, ephemera and artifacts. It is arranged in four sous-fonds according to the creator of the records: Whaletown Women's Institute (2009.001.1); Whaletown Women's Auxiliary of the Anglican Church (2009.001.2); Cortes Island Women's Institute (2009.001.3); and Island Women's Club (2009.001.3). Related material in CIMAS archives may be found in the Whaletown Women's Institute fonds (1999.002), the Gilean Douglas fonds (1999.001), and the May and Elmer Ellingsen fonds (2007.001).
Island Women's ClubThe collection consists of six series of papers, photographs and artefacts amassed by the Morishita family. The first series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the patriarch of the family, Teiji Morishita. The second series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to Teiji's wife, Sawa Morishita. The third series consists of papers and artefacts amassed while the Morishitas (with the Ebisuzakis) ran the Ebisuzaki Shoten (store) at 337 Powell Street in Vancouver, BC. The fourth series consists of family photographs and artefacts belonging to the Morishita family. The fifth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Morishita children. And the sixth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Ebisuzaki family.
Fonds consists of records created or received by Maureen Trotter through her work for the Quesnel Women’s Resource Centre, the Amata Transition House Society, the National Action Committee for the Status of Women, and other local advocacy campaigns and community projects. Records include organizational correspondence, lobbying correspondence, meeting minutes, financial statements, operational notes and manuals, internal policies, photocopied journal articles, literature reviews, research notes, grant proposals, government reports, strategic plans, campaign brochures, talking notes, petitions, newsletters, programming schedules, and contact information lists. Interspersed within the records are copies of newspaper and magazine articles documenting each of these organization's achievements.

Records generated by the National Council for Jewish Women Canada are included as the policies, procedures and activities of the local branch influenced, and were influenced by the larger administrative body. The records were generated by members of the Board of Directors and members at large. Series 1, minutes, contains a fairly complete record of proceedings from the 1950s to the 1990s while earlier minutes may be found embedded in Series 3, President’s subject files and Series 12, Program, project and subject files.

National Council of Jewish Women, Vancouver SectionThe fonds consists of one black paper photograph album comprised of photographs taken during Cameron's travels up the Mackenzie River with her niece, Jessie Cameron Brown, May to September, 1908, and photographs taken during Cameron's trip to Britain, 1909-1911. Some Canadian photographs were published in Cameron's book "The New North: Being Some Account of a Woman's Journey Through Canada to the Arctic" (1910).
