The collection consists of six series of papers, photographs and artefacts amassed by the Morishita family. The first series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the patriarch of the family, Teiji Morishita. The second series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to Teiji's wife, Sawa Morishita. The third series consists of papers and artefacts amassed while the Morishitas (with the Ebisuzakis) ran the Ebisuzaki Shoten (store) at 337 Powell Street in Vancouver, BC. The fourth series consists of family photographs and artefacts belonging to the Morishita family. The fifth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Morishita children. And the sixth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Ebisuzaki family.

The fonds consists of records from three distinct sources: the Leonard Frank Photo Studio, the Frank family , and the Landauer family. The records of Leonard Frank Photo Studio constitute those that remained after the closure of the business in 1983. They consist of photographs and textual records. The photographs cover many significant events and developments in British Columbia's history. Their major subject areas include logging, lumbering, mining, fishing and transportation; the construction of bridges and buildings in the Vancouver area; famous people; aboriginal peoples; and scenic views of mountainous, coastal, and urban areas. The photographs were taken by Leonard Frank and Otto Landauer. The textual records consist of photographic FindingAids, business correspondence, financial records, and historical and reference material. The records of the Frank family consist of the personal papers of Leonard and Bernard Frank. The records of the Landauer family consist of the personal papers of Otto Landauer and members of his family.

The fonds reflect the material kept and collected by Pete Casorso. The records date from 1885 - 1997, but are predominantly from 1922 - 1987, the year after his death. The fonds focuses on the business and financial records kept by Pete Casorso. The files represent his business interests whether it is Mountview Sawmills Ltd. Pioneer Ranch, Casorso Brothers Ltd. and the many properties he owned or co-owned, mining interests (especially Lexington Mines Ltd. and Notre Dames Des Mines). Also included are records relating to insurance and legal indentures, personal records such as correspondence. Many of the records are handwritten and offer a glimpse into the life and times of Pete Casorso, Kelowna pioneer, farmer and businessman. on contents.
