The fonds consists of records generated by six of the seven Headmistresses of Crofton House (Miss Jessie Gordon has no extant records): Sara E.G. MacDonald, Ellen K. Bryan, Muriel Bedford-Jones, Rosalind W. Addison, Barbara Emmerson, and Barbara M. Walker. Other series include correspondence and reports from the Registrar's office, an extensive thematic filing system from the Office Manager, and financial records from the Bursar's office such as the General Ledgers and budgets. The Office of the Registrar series also includes student records. The Administration Office fonds is a rich source of information about the everyday occurrences of the school at any given time.

Includes minutes, annual reports, resolutions, stock certificates, correspondence, inventories, notices, financial records and timebooks of the Crown Fruit Company and the Laurel Cooperative Union.

The fonds consists of five series. The Correspondence series tracks the development of the park and extends only until the end of the 1920's. The Legal Correspondence and the Subject Files series were also created during the park's early history. The Minutes series and the Financial Statements series of the Park Board extend for the most protracted period of time and reveal the activities of the Park Board after World War II.

The collection consists of mining maps and plans (particularly of Canadian Collieries (Dunsmuir) Ltd and Tsable River Mine), subdivision and land use maps of Cumberland and area, photomosaics, and other area maps.

Cumberland Recreation Institute
The fonds consists of a receipt book (1935-1939) of D.J. Robertson (as notary public) and a funeral record and ledger book (1939-1946) of the company's funeral operations. The funeral ledger provides detailed information on individuals (including displaced Japanese Canadians during World War II) who died in Nelson and the West Kootenay and Slocan areas.

The collection consists of various records of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers (Revelstoke), including receipts and notepads, and records of Walter and Dorothy Koronko, J. Waugh, and others including correspondence, and CPR employee cards. Collection also includes slides of various railroad engines, scenery, etc.
The fonds consists of correspondence concerning Gilbert's participation in the 1936 Vimy Ridge pilgrimage, and two books.
Gilbert, Daniel R.
Collection consists of a scrapbook of newspaper articles collected by Darlene Chapman, a member of the Community Hall Committee of 1975-1976. The collection documents the Committee's drive to have a new complex built in Oliver, including various fund-raising efforts, the breaking of ground for the new complex, updates on the construction process, and the eventual grand opening. Also included is a copy of the opening ceremonies program and one of the official ceremony invitations.
The collection consists of photographs documenting the East Kootenays. Cranbrook is well documented in this collection by photographs predominantly dating from 1905 to 1920. Subject matter includes: domestic and commercial interiors and exteriors, school buildings and classrooms, streets, the lumber mill, the post office, the St. Eugene hospital, the print shop, St. Mary's Church, a Methodist Bible Class, a nurses' home and the Women's Institute. Several of the photographs depict Cranbrook residents-only some of which are identified. The first plane to land in Cranbrook in 1919 is photographed as well as the opening of the Cranbrook airport in 1966. Images of war- time activities include the 54th Battalion send-off and victory parades. The lumber industry is documented with photographs of the Lumberton flume, Crestbrook Forest Industries, Staples' Lumber Company, King Lumber Mills (Yahk), Taylor Lumber Company (Kimberley), Adolph Lumber Company (Baynes Lake), the CrowsNest Pass Lumber Company, the Ross-Saskatoon Lumber Company and other mills in Waldo, and logging in Windermere. Several of the photographs include portraits of loggers. The mining industry is documented with photographs of the Perry Creek gold mine, Coal Creek mining, Sullivan mining, and a St. Eugene mine marker. The construction of the Baillie-Grohman Canal in Canal Flats is documented. There is one photograph of Baillie-Grohman himself. There are several photographs of Fort Steele, including both the buildings and the people. The opening of Fort Steele in 1967 is also documented. Photographs of Wildhorse Creek include buildings, people, the Fort Steele Mercantile Company, Thomas Walker's grave, the Wildhorse trail marker, roads, landscapes, and a Chinese cemetery. Photographs documenting the Ktunaxa Nation include various portraits, the St. Eugene Mission, and petroglyphs. There are also two pictures of Father Coccola. Photographs of steamboats include a steamboat at Pigeon's Landing, a steamboat at Arrow Lakes, the "S.W. Kootenay", and the "Annerly" and "North Star" steamboats at Fort Steele. There are generally no photographs in which trains and railroads are the main focus. Many of the photographs in this collection document railways as an activity in the background. Other photographs documenting Kootenay towns include: Waldo (the flood of 1916, domestic exteriors, the lumber industry, and steamboats), Goat River (the CrowsNest Railway crossing and the Goat River Hospital, Wardner (automobiles and commercial enterprises), Marysville (town pioneers and road construction), Kimberley (North Star Hotel, Taylor Lumber Company, and Sullivan Mining activities), Moyie (newspaper office and St. Eugene Church), Radium Hot Springs, Sinclair Hot Springs, Roosville (Michael Phillips' grave), Hosmer (aerial views), Wasa (Wasa Hotel and Estella Mine), Fernie, Baynes Lake, Wyndel (bridge), Nakusp (St. Leon Hotel), Windermere and Wycliffe (remains of the Wycliffe Mill Engine House, demolition of Wycliffe bridge, and Staples' Lumber Company). There are two photographs of the local filming of "Hearts Aflame" in 1923. There is one photograph of the famous "lost elephant" escapade. There are a few miscellaneous photographs of places outside the Kootenays, including Banff National Park.
The fonds consists of reports, supporting material to reports and newspaper clippings. Records document Lai's efforts at revitalizing Victoria's Chinatown.
Lai, Chuen-yan David, 1937-
Collection consists of one file containing a bound volume of the proceedings at the Court of Appeal between the plaintiff, David Hobson, and the defendant being the Corporation of the Township of Richmond. The Appeal Book contains the documentation gathered to support the plaintiff's claim against the defendant for damages through the flooding and overflow of water onto his property, official court documents and transcripts, as well as five photographs that illustrate the damage to the plaintiff's lands on Lulu Island.
The fonds consists of personal papers including certificates of marriage and discharge and time records and accounts journals maintained by Mathers from 1927 to 1934 while operating the grocery in Kilgard and the mill at Straiton.

Wallbridge, David Stevenson
Collection consists of a series of photocopied documents collected by David Westley in 1986 for a research paper on the acquisition of land for Polson Park. The documents, which date from 1908-1974, consist of land deeds, land transfers from owner to owner, surveys, assessments, and tax receipts. Collection also includes a cover letter (1986) from Rob MacIntosh of the Land Title Office.

Davies, including licences and ledgers of Davies and Company and a cashbook (1909-1911) for Davies Store; correspondence, bills and receipts of William Arthur Edward Davies, including a record book of his taxi service and cashbook of the Bowen Park Store; photographs accumulated by Herbert Lyle Davies depicting members of the Davies family and friends on Bowen Island, and scenes of various aspects of early island life, including logging and ferry service; and, postcards and ephemera of various family members.
