The fonds consists of two photographs and a recipe book entitled "The Best of the Husbands" (1990), which includes genealogical charts and family histories written by Rena Husband Trainor Reid.
Husband (family)Collection consists of copy negatives and copy prints of images from Mr. McConnell's album that pertain to his service at R.C.A.F. Station Boundary Bay, and a photocopy of the entire album made in 1983. The album records Mr. McConnell's service in the R.C.A.F. from March 13, 1941 to November 3, 1945. The captioned images document the kind of training men received under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, and some of the action McConnell saw overseas. Included are class photographs, photographs of air crews and aircraft and places visited on leave, aerial views of Boundary Bay Airfield and Delta, and newsclippings that record bombing runs and the fate of friends in the airforce.
The fonds consists of photographs of Miss Jean McDiarmid's students at Inverholme School and at Delta Central School, her home nursing notes and newsclipping from the Delta Optimist of the King George V High School reunion.
McDiarmid, JeanFonds consists of textual and photographic material related to the Reagh family. The textual material consists of two papers regarding genealogical research conducted on Jessie Belcher's family. The first is entitled "The Wassell Family", was written by Wassell Randolph, with a forward added by Jessie Belcher, as well as a page indicating references to her mother's family. The second, which investigates the life of Elizabeth Wedgwood Hawksworth, Jessie Belcher's great-great-great paternal grandmother, was written by Mrs. Belcher herself and is entitled "Who Are You?". Another manuscript entitled "Reflection of Delta Central School" records Mrs. Belcher's memories of Delta Central School and includes anecdotes about teachers, classmates, and school activities. Mrs. Belcher attended the school in the 1930s. The textual records also contain advertising material including monthly calendars from Fisher's Drug And Book Store (1923), envelopes from Ladner United Sunday School, Mc & Mc Department Stores, the Ladner Studio, and a greeting card from Home Oil Distributors Limited. Another file contains greeting cards, an invitation to the opening of the No. 18 Elementary Flying Training School, Boundary Bay, and a name tag for a Graduate Dance for the Air Force, which Jessie Reagh attended in 1941. The tag is "part of wing of plane which cracked up on Sea Island." The file also contains a "Coronation 1937", a booklet prepared by the Department of Education and presented to elementary and high school children in the province. Jessie Reagh wrote an inscription in the centre of the booklet which includes the names of her teachers and classmates. Also included in the textual material are two books, "The New Canadian Hymnal" (1922), and the "Canadian Reader" (1931). The photographs include seven black and white photographs related to the Reagh family.
Belcher, Jessie Reagh, 1924-The fonds consists of submisions and briefs, correspondence, minutes, landscape plans, and reference material generated by Mr. Landysheff's interest in promoting better community parks and recreation facilities for Delta. The fonds also includes Mr. Landysheff's original registers of meteorological observations taken at Pebble Hill, Tsawwassen, as well as publications from and correspondence with the Meteorological Branch. The fonds also includes memorabilia and writings by Mr. Landysheff on topics related to his work in the sugar beet industry, and to his interests in the history and welfare of his adopted country. The fonds has been arranged in four series: Weather observation materials; Community campaign and project materials; Writings; and Memorabilia.
Landysheff, John Joseph, b. 1893The collection consists of copy prints and negatives created and assembled by Ken Young as a research project which he did as a student at the University of British Columbia. The collection consists of copies of original photographs taken of the Delta area of British Columbia between 1880 and 1950, including buildings and street scenes in Ladner, Port Guichon, Westham Island, and Annieville, as well as some scenes of Victoria. The collection includes photographs of family homes, barns, businesses, ferries and boats, as well as formal portraits, social scenes, and photographs of people at work fishing, farming, and in the milk and fish canneries. Also included are family trees, correspondence, and clippings.
The fonds consists of a scrapbook containing photographs, newsclippings, programs, president's reports, club budgets and ephemeral items pertaining to the charitable and social activities of the Kinette Club of Ladner-Tsawwassen. Nelson (family)The collection consists of seven identical blueprints of the municipality of Delta produced by the Corporation of Delta in 1961. The blueprints include all roads in Delta, as well as inserts of Ladner, North Delta, and South Delta. The majority of the collection, however, is concerned with Kennedy School and includes miscellaneous papers, class photographs, and oral records and photographs of Kennedy School's fiftieth anniversary.
