Fonds consists of the administrative records and documents of the Vernon High School 1992 Centennial School Reunion Committee. The records, which detail the reunion's organization process, include reports, lists of VHS graduates, programs, pamphlets, flyers, newspaper articles, souvenir ephemera, and correspondence.

Collection consists of a series of photocopied documents collected by David Westley in 1986 for a research paper on the acquisition of land for Polson Park. The documents, which date from 1908-1974, consist of land deeds, land transfers from owner to owner, surveys, assessments, and tax receipts. Includes correspondence to and from Mr. & Mrs. Angus Gray, managers and caretakers of the property, in regard to the activities taking place at the school. Of particular note is the 1948 letter to Mr. Gray from a Logan Mayhew, the chairman of the B.C. Board of Governors, in which the disposal of the Fintry school and property is discussed.

Includes a general ledger and customer account book outlining the number of vegetable crops bought and sold, loads shipped, crops planted and harvested, employee wages and contracts to be filled. Also includes some correspondence.

Fonds consists of the business records of the Glover Rice Hardware Co. from Jan-June of 1912. Includes a hardbound ledger divided into three sections containing a list of all customer accounts, the individual customer credit accounts, and the company's general revenue and expenditures. The company's general financial accounts, which include entries for initial capital, wages paid, merchandise purchased, duty and freight costs, and all accounts payable and receivable, are found on pp.1-29 and 91-94. The customer credit accounts, which consist of the customer's name, date of purchases, payments on account and account balances, are found on p.117-268. The ledger abruptly ends in June 1912 with notations about being "transferred to L.L. ledger".

Fonds consists of transcripts of the diaries of John Thomas Davies detailing hunting expeditions in the Okanagan from 1890 to 1894 and a reminiscence of hunting for grizzly bears in 1892 written in 1902.

The letters, which are in reference to the possibility of opening an HBC store in the Priest Valley area, discuss the geographical pros and cons, the local economic situation, names of possible suppliers and potential competitors.

Includes transcribed excerpts of letters written to Mrs.Seaton from her son, Donald Alexander Seaton, while he was fighting on the Belgian front between 1915-1916. Also included are copies of the official telegram announcing his death in April 1916, the Vernon News obituary and article, a letter from the army chaplain and the official registration of Donald Seaton's final resting place.

Includes 3 general accounts payable and receivable ledgers (1936-1941, 1941-1958, 1950-1956), customer and supplier account ledgers (ca.1938-1954), and a company appraisal (1976). The appraisal, which was produced for the company by Philip E. Locke, Real Estate Appraiser for Mountain Appraisals Ltd., includes monthly financial statements, correspondence, reports, photocopied photographs, site analyses, assessments, estimates of value, cost estimates and various maps and plans of the company's cold storage centre.

Fonds consists of the personal records of the Rev. Augustine Mackie from 1929-1937 documenting his interest in nature and animals. Includes general notes (1929-1932) on the tracking of various migratory bird species and the dates they were spotted, as well as correspondence (1937) from the Natural History Museum in California regarding the identification of snake species.

Of particular note are the records from 1893, when the reverend spent time in Vernon and area working with the natives and community members.

The letters from his cousin Tibbie, sister Katherine, and uncle Nicholas all contain news and gossip of family and friends in England and South Wales. Some concern over his lack of communication, an accident he suffered on the job, and his dismissal from his job are expressed. Accompanying his uncle's letter is a bank draft from the Bank of New South Wales. Fonds also includes love letters to Simon from a young woman named Loosie, who lived at the Guisachan Ranch in the Mission area. Of particular note is that they were conducting their 'long distance' courtship in secret.
