Guy Palmer fonds

The fonds consists of 6,066 35 mm negatives of dress rehearsals of major UBC theatrical productions between 1961 and 1988. There are also some images of productions staged during summer school, as well as by the Extension and English departments (1954/55), and alphabetical and chronological listings of UBC productions between 1954 and 1988. The fonds also includes copies of programs from productions at the Frederic Wood Theatre (1964-1991).

Ian Ross fonds

The fonds consists of two series - Publications and Arts I. The first includes original and copy edited typescripts for three of Ross's books: Lord Kames and the Scotland of His Day (1972), The Correspondence of Adam Smith (1977), and William Dunbar: A Critical Study (1981). The Arts I series consists of minutes, correspondence, reports and printed material arising from the establishment and assessment of the program.

Institute of Oceanography fonds

The fonds consists of miscellaneous files from George Pickard's office (1949-1974), including records from the Canadian Committee on Oceanography (1960-1972). The bulk of the records are composed of departmental files including correspondence, grant material, and financial records. There is also a comprehensive set of oceanographic log sheets containing data collected between 1951 and 1978.

Jean Coulthard fonds

The fonds consists of Coulthard's incoming correspondence, financial records, biographical information, printed material and clippings documenting her involvement in the Canadian and International music communities as advocate, educator and composer. Also included are original manuscripts of Coulthard's compositions as well as published and unpublished sound recordings of performances of her work. In addition, the fonds contains scrapbooks assembled by Coulthard's mother, Jean Robinson Coulthard between 1898 and 1929, family photographs, and a photograph album compiled by her father, Dr. Walter Coulthard, depicting the Rossland area (ca. 1902).
Fonds arranged into two sous-fonds: Jean Coulthard sous-fonds and Coulthard family sous-fonds. Jean Coulthard sous-fonds arranged into ten series: Correspondence (1946-1998), Financial and Legal (1948-1998), Biography (1950-1998), Programmes (1943-1995), Publications (1955-1993), Press Clippings (1929-1994), Manuscripts (1945-199?), Sound recordings (1942-1995), Miscellaneous (1898-1995), and Photographs (1894-1975).

Fonds consists of a variety of research material, including reports (published and unpublished), minutes, papers, and notes relating to the development of community colleges and adult education in British Columbia (1962-1980), including materials relating to Selkirk, Douglas, Capilano, and Okanagan Colleges. Also included are studies, notes and papers related to Dennison's involvement with the Capilano College Council (1969-1973), and a first draft of UBC President John D. Macdonald's "Report on Higher Education in British Columbia".

The fonds consists of 10 series: Personal Records, Correspondence, Course Materials, Conferences and Seminars, Asian Studies Department, Book Reviews, Professional Papers, Research Materials, Subject Files and Photographs. The records were organized according to either Howes original filing system or to its overall contents.

Kathleen Gough fonds

The fonds consists of material related to Kathleen Gough's research activities. It includes the notes of her Ph.D fieldwork in Kerala, India, 1947-1949 and her return in 1964, as well as those from her major fieldwork in the Tanjore District of Southeast India in 1950-1953, and then again in 1974. These consist primarily of fieldnotes and other notes made during and after those trips. While much of the material can be located under either the "Kerala" (1947-1949, 1964) or "Tanjore District (1950- 1953/1976)" series headings, similar and related material can also be located under both the "Miscellaneous" and "Lectures and other Notes" series headings. The fonds also includes a number of maps of various locations in Southeast India as well as well as several geneologies. Finally, the fonds also includes several manuscripts of Gough's numerous essays as well as the complete manuscript to her last book "Political Economy in Vietnam" (1990).

Also included are financial statements and correspondence relating to the marketing and production of the Journal and records from Prism International Press. There are also records arising from Wood's participation in the "Pacific Northwest Review of Books" and copies of review articles (1977-78). Also included are materials (predominantly printed) from "Crossing Frontiers", a 1978 conference which brought together Canadian and American literary scholars, historians and writers to discuss comparative literature from the two "wests".
