Andrew Reid fonds

Fonds consists of photographs relating to the personal life and recreational activities of Andrew Reid and extended family members. Andrew Reid and his friends were avid skiers and hikers and many of the photographs are of skiing at Hollyburn Ridge hiking in the North Shore mountains, or days on the beach in West Vancouver. The fonds also includes images of Alta Lake in Whistler, excursions to Bowen Island, the West Vancouver Tennis Club, the Royal visit of George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939, Andrew Reid's place of work, Forst's Radio and Appliance in North Vancouver, and its staff, as well as construction of the Lions Gate Bridge.

May Day collection

The collection consists of material relating to May Day celebrations which was a key community event in West Vancouver from 1931 to 1971. The celebrations included installation of a May Day Queen, parades and other ceremonies. After 1971, the celebration was renamed Community Day, and the collection also includes records pertaining to this event.The material includes photographs, registers, scrapbooks, speeches, organizing committee records, and correspondence.

Caulfeild family fonds

The fonds consists of photographs related to the history of the Caulfeild area of West Vancouver and the Caulfeild family, after which the area was named. The bulk of the collection consists of copies made from a photo album belonging to Mr James Caulfeild. Also includes scanned copies of personal letters written by James Caulfeild as well as business records relating to property owned by the family.
