The collection consists of photographs of the S.F. Tolmie, Indo-China Steam Navigation and Navy photographs. Collection includes prints of vintage sea vessels, including the S.S. Beaver and German sailing ships ca. 19th century.

The fonds consists of photographs of the crossing the line ceremony on the S.F. Tolmie under heavy seas, and other crew in general. Fonds includes certificate to Frankham in the ceremony and a sound recording of an interview with Frankham describing the voyage to Sidney, Australia, in 1922 aboard the S.F. Tolmie.
