Fonds includes letters from Rev. J. Kabayama of Ocean Falls, who had been removed to a Japanese-Canadian internment camp.

Douglas as well as a large series from Gretchen Steeves dated 1950-1965 relating to her political activities and describing CCF philosophy. Articles, speeches and broadcast transcripts by and about Cameron ranging 1940 to 1968 reflect his political interest and involvement.

The fonds consists of papers of the Charlton family principally generated by Ormand Lee Charlton and collected by his son Darwin relating to the early CCF movement in British Columbia. Papers include information about the Canadian Cooperative Society (Ruskin Mills) and the Industrial Union (Ruskin) in the 1890s. Scrapbooks, clippings, drafts of speeches and addresses, correspondence and photographs relate to the family's involvement in socialist politics. The fonds also includes a collection of CCF poems written by Charlton's wife Annie.

It consists of minutes, scrapbooks, office correspondence and files relating to party organization and records of committees, CCF clubs, constituencies, federal ridings and election. The collection also includes records generated by Arthur Turner as CCF Whip and Arnold Webster as a provincial party leader. Subject files pertaining to early socialists and clippings about international affairs were created by Dorothy Steeves. Subsequent accessions added to the collection have included the records of Angus MacInnis, Francis McKenzie and former provincial leader Ernest Winch.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the NDP and CCF in B.C. Included are notices and agendas, minutes, correspondence, membership lists, financial records, policy, policy committees, maps, photographs, convention proceedings, geographical materials and constituency records. Also included are films and sound recordings.

The fonds consists of correspondence, speeches (including Young's parliamentary addresses), clippings and scrapbooks pertaining to Young's career and political views, as well as publications, constitutions and bylaws, newsletters, notices, and minutes pertaining to the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation. Also included are university essays on socialism, economics, and international affairs collected, but not written, by Young.
